The Intermediate Fly Tying class will build upon the skills learned during the Beginner Fly Tying Class. We will tie up a variety of dry flies, nymphs, streamers and attractors. The class is intended to cover a variety of materials, and the techniques to successfully work with them. Some techniques that will be approached are parachute dry flies, spinners, hair wings, biot bodies, synthetic wings, spinning deer hair, spinning fibers, articulated streamers. By the end of the class you will be able to examine a new fly, figure out the materials and techniques required, and make your own.
The Intermediate series is a total of 4 classes, held on Sunday afternoons. The class will retain the fun and relaxed atmosphere of the beginner class. The class size is limited to 6 students. All materials will be provided. You are welcome to bring your own tools, or they can be provided as needed.
Cost of the Class is $60. All students will also receive a 10% discount on all tying materials & tools during the class.
Winter is a great time to tie. It fills the fly box and allows us the opportunity to dream of the coming spring.
